May be picking up a 24FV300 later this week. We'll see.

The FV300 is pretty much identical to the FV310, except it is missing the high voltage regulator. It has the subwoofer, the same inputs, and the same other features.

While I was searching for an FV310, I almost gave up and went for an FV300. Finally, someone who had listed an FV310 over a month ago responded to my email. They bought it six years ago and kept it in their bedroom since day one. It has the stand and was basically in new condition. While I was testing it at the seller's house, I was pleased to see he had it on "movie" mode and not "vivid". I paid a little more than I expected for it, but it was worth the wait.

Here is my updated gaming area, just inside the bedroom door. I sit on a Sumo Gamer bag.

Inside the stand are my NES, Super NES, and PSone. The PSone s-video connection comes around to the front panel, since there is only one rear panel s-video, which is in use by the Super NES.

I'm about to pick up a 29" presentation monitor this week. Can't wait to see how nice my games look on it!

Nice TV! Also very observant on the Movie Mode for less wear on the tube, Vivid Mode really burns a bright image. That TV looks a similar construction to my WEGA, the Subwoofer is actually inside a "Bose Reflex" style box, really great sounds! :D

My new home for games is this Philips TV I bought on Amazon a couple of weeks ago. If you notice the staggering amount of inputs it has, you can see why it was a good choice for me. Plus my laptop has a built in HDMI out so I got a long cable for it and I can play anything I have on here on that TV as well.

Is this staggering like I see 4 or 5 things on ebay labeled as a huge lot?

If you scroll down there's a handy image that shows that it also has component, s-video, and composite.

It's not a staggering amount, but it does have pretty much everything you'd need.

Ah, copywriter fail then. It just lists those four. If you click on "see more technical details" it still just mentions those 4. Once I'd diverted to the "more" I didn't see the picture. That is good that it has S-video too.

Picked up my 24FV300 tonight. Has no geometry issues (minus a little pincusion on the right side) unlike my 120 I used to have. Was used on the Vivid setting... ugh, but luckily, it doesn't seem to have been used much and a quick switch to the Movie mode and warm colour temp led to a very nice looking picture. I'll do some rearranging later... I wish I had the Sony stand that you could get with these... I'll get it to work. This is the last CRT I ever plan to buy. For $10, I'm not complaining.
