She'll keep healing him. You'll have to attack her. Don't feel bad about it. You'll love what happens after.

So do I just
focus on her or do I have to take out both of them?
I tried the level/boss again and didn't even get him to flash orange (other than when I hit him) in the span of three lives.

Basically I focused on him and just threw an attack her way whenever I saw her actually doing something. She's supporting him. He's still your main target, but you have to interrupt her whenever she tries to help him or do something. If it helps, if you walk up to him and try to duck his sword swing to get the gleam damage boost, then immediately do a spin kick before he gets away from you, it'll do a lot of damage. You kind of need the occasional gleam boost to beat him fast in every battle you have with him.

The final boss fight comes after this. I'll give you a useful tip right now. When you start the following stage, look for a hidden ladder on the bottom left of the screen. It'll take you to 1 ups and cash. The 1 ups will come in handy. Also, in the final battle, when you see four little white circles form under you, get ready to roll immediately or you WILL die. On the plus side, it'll be quite a spectacular death LOL. Might be worth seeing at least once

You only need to hit her when she starts charging up her unavoidable attack. It will interrupt the charging. Other than that ignore her and pound on Skullmageddon but keep an eye on her so she doesn't nuke you.
You're almost there, that fight was actually tougher for me than the last one (which graciously lets you continue right before it if you fail).
Yeah, I do find that fight harder than the final boss battle as well. I really hate that cheap attack he does with the green oval on the ground that comes at you to quickly to move out of the way

Went back to level 2 and upgraded "training wheels" and "spin kick" both to level 30. Got 7 lives before the battle I struggled on and only lost one. The last part was a breeze and the ending... oh my... the ending was awesome. It ranked up there with Portal's ending/credits as one of my favorites of all time.

Skullmageddon's villain variant of "the reason you suck" speech (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/M ... SuckSpeech) was wonderful.
Nyyyaaaah you! You've taken my pride, you've scrapped my rocket dojo, laid waste to my laboratory, broke my televisions and murdered countless Williamses! All I wanted was a date! This ends, NOOOOOW!

So my copy of Journey Collector's Edition gave me a free month of Playstation Plus. So I got to play DD Neon again for free on the PS3. So I'm starting from scratch again on normal mode, and I actually think Dragon Swarm and Magic Gambit are the best tapes to start with. Why fight when you can just cast Final Fantasy style summon spells all day. Way easier than the spin kick/training wheels combo, and more fun too.

"Awesome looking dragon lend me your power"

You can pull off two, maybe three Dragon Swarms before your energy bar empties, and by then you may have a bunch of energy refilling items lying around from defeated enemies. So you bust out another three Dragon Swarms. Awesome. Nothing says I own you like Dragon Swarm

This video made me laugh my ass off. These guys are a riot when they run through a game together, and unlike a lot of modern gamers, they actually like beat 'em ups.

I tend to complain a lot about there being too many youtube video game vids with commentary, but these guys always seem to hit my funny bone.

Best video ever... There is a reason why this game is so great, and this video proved it.
