Local Gamestop no longer sells PSP's or games.
So I walked into my local Gamestop and found they ditched everything PSP related. I was just in there few weeks ago and they had a ton. The sale associate said no Gamestop's anywhere carry PSP's anymore. WTF, they are already phasing it out? Online it says 25% of the smallest stores don't so maybe he didn't know what he was talking about.

I'm guessing he doesn't know what he's talking about. I'd love for them to do a permanent Buy 2 Get 2 deal like they have for GameCube. I don't even think they are Buy 2 Get 1 right now. There is plenty of time for them to get rid of their stock. They are still taking trade-ins, right?Onyxthecat wrote:So I walked into my local Gamestop and found they ditched everything PSP related. On the opposite end of the spectrum, my GS continues to stock the latest PSP releases, even though they're all obscure JRPGs these days.

Obscure JRPGs! I would be in heaven!
My local GS mostly just carries used PSP systems and disc-only games in generic cases.
Kinda weird a store would stop selling PSP systems and games altogether - there are still games being released for it!

there are three gamestops near me and the one in the mall (where I work at nearby) no longer has an area for PSP games. They moved almost of their stock to another store nearby.
They still have some PSP games in their cabinet. But no longer any on the floor. The ones in the cabinet are new games and a few trade ins.
I've taken a peek inside and yeah, its mostly the later games and some UMD discs with no cases
Maybe you should check other gamestops nearby, Maybe the psp stuff moved to another store.
I still think they have to carry PSP games. PS2 games have been with them longer than PSP games, and some stores still have some.

I think you hit on it flojo - there are some smaller stores in the malls that do not have them any longer. I've witnessed this once as well.

Heh, well I went to another local store and told them the situation and they said the first store did have it. The guy just didn't feel like looking for it or it a moron and straight lied to me. The guy at the second store called them while I stood there and said he needed it for a customer and the employee said ok yeah it's here. So now he has to go pick it up for me and bring it to the second store.
That is re-fucking-diculous. All for a 4.99 game. Needless to say they just lost a customer.
Oh and this second GS had psp stuff so yeah that other employee is a dumb shit.
