It's arguably the best classic RE.

Best remake out there next to Metroid Zero Mission I'd say.

^ What he said.
Resident Evil remake has enough new content and a fan-freaking-tastic new coat of paint (some of the best lighting & shadow effects I've seen on a console game), that it makes it feel like an entirely new experience. But it still respects the original and keeps plenty of it intact. It's the perfect balance.

I just wanted to say that, like noise, all of this attitude about the game has made me interested in it, rather than putting me off.
I tried the demo today, played all 3 scenarios. I like it. A lot. Considering that I tried the demo for RE5 when it came out and didn't like it at all, that's a good sign for 6.
Yeah, its super different from RE's roots, but that's been the case for several years now. I'm genuinely sorry for the folks who want a return to the old style, but at the same time no one should be surprised anymore.
I can't buy it now, but its on my list.

I'm curious about it just because of the tons of different things the game supposedly tries. I think I may have said this before, but even if the game as a whole is an incohesive mess, it might be worth checking out just to see how much of the shit sticks. Plus, it has that car crash you just have to see appeal too. I wouldn't pick this up for full price though.CFFJR wrote:I just wanted to say that, like noise, all of this attitude about the game has made me interested in it, rather than putting me off.

Part of me wants to play it too just because Leon and Ada are in it. I'm not so much an RE fan as I am a Leon/Ada fan if that makes any sense. A lot of what I've read and heard indicates that their campaigns are the most tolerable parts of the game too

REmake is probably the best thing to come out of the entire Resident Evil franchise, more than worth a try.
