Playing Pandora's Tower on an NSTC-U Wii? Help?

Post by Zevin_Mars »

Hey, I hope I'm asking this on the right forum, what needs to be done? I know I've got to do some sort of Soft Mod, but what will that consist of? Also, does soft modding prevent me from accessing any stock features of the Wii? Sorry these are noobish questions, I've never toyed with anything like this and any research of my own ends up with me reading a bunch of techno-babble.

It's actually relatively simple. I'm guessing you only want to play imports?

What you need is the Homebrew channel,

I recommend installing the Homebrew channel via LetterBomb.

There is a tutorial on how to use it in the link above. Here is a video on YouTube showing how the installation works.

Then use Gecko OS to launch imports.

Hope that helps!

Nope, nothing is lost when soft modding.

everything LentFilms said is great advice. letterbomb is really easy.

some PAL wii games are hard to run in 60hz (USA) unless you are using component cables, not the stock composite. i remember pikmin 2 was a game that had problems, you need component/progressive enabled to run it in america.

In my experience setting the option to force NSTC-U has been able to work with what few PAL games I've wanted to play. Though in either case, component cables are a necessity, whether your importing or not.

Yeah as with the PS2, Wii modding is more convenient for NTSC/PAL TV owners.
