Because the problem is that serious if/when it does occur! Utter refusal of affected TVs to process specific combos of video mode and input source.

I don't know if this has been resolved or what, but I know on my hdtv the dreamcast shows up in black and white, but put it on a standard def tv and boom, color. If you have any other tv's that are not hd you could try that.

I have tried it with other TV's, and all I get is black and white. Since PS1 games seem to play fine on a PS2 with component cables, that means that my TV accepts 240P signal in my component input correct?

Does anyone have a good Scart to Component converter recommendation?
