I don't own an Amiga.

The new Simcity is looking far worse than I thought. Far, far worse. It has this distinct facebook/social smell and fans are already feeling the game will be more of a SimTown when it comes to scope. Sure, things may change but when not even terraforming or regions are in the pictures, things look pretty bleak.
I also find it sad that The Sims is increasingly seen as a "Girl's game". Everyone played the shit of that franchise and I knew more guys than girls with that game. But for me, the Franchise died with the release of The Sims 3, so...

Did you watch the 10 mins of gameplay?
It's far too early to tell IMO. We haven't seen enough of it. Besides, even if it's bad, we still have the perfection that is SC4+RH
Random thought: Can you imagine how awesome of a collection I'd have by now had I never sold anything?

Lucky SOB. I find consoles at mine, but they're always the common ones. I keep looking in the DVD player section hoping someone put a 3DO in there, not knowing any better.
Actually it was frustrating, because there were like five Amiga games together on a shelf, but only one had all the disks. One "game" was just packaging - no disks whatsoever!
Anyway, I hopped on ebay last night to look into buying an Amiga 1200... found a pretty good deal, about to click Buy It Now, and then I notice......... $145 shipping!

I play it once a month myself -- I've 1CCed the first TC and came close on the 2nd and 3rd. Also 1CCed Crisis Zone. My best TC3 score is 1.83-something million.

If you're out to complete everything, it's not. They added Dragon Coins to ALL stages, and you get a special bonus for getting them all.

I passed.
If can't find one from US/Canada and you're looking to buy an Amiga from Europe, your best bet is probably a retro game store from the UK that has its own web page. They usually try to minimize postage. And when buying from a private person in eBay, you can always ask if they can use a cheaper shipping option or remove something unnessecary (like software disks) from the package.
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box
