Though not necessarily a "side project," nor a profession, I enjoy traditional archery. My wife and I don't compete in anything beyond club tournaments but I'll boast a bit (mainly on her behalf) and claim that we're not bad at all. Of course we don't believe in hunting so we mainly do field archery, but there is something very satisfying about the sound of an arrow hitting the target.

I have been working as a publicist for Punk Core Records (The Casualties, The Virus, Cheap Sex, Defiance, etc) since 2001 and I also work as a publicist for Heavy Artillery Records (Merciless Death, Avenger of Blood, Exmortus, etc). It is a lot of fun getting to work with music and having a job where I make up my own hours and essentially work how and when I want.

In addition to that I have been running my own DIY label/mailorder since 1998, called Rok Lok Records. I just recently held a 10 year anniversary festival to celebrate. Some of the bands I have issued records for over the course of 35 releases are most notably On the Might of Princes, Latterman, Loma Prieta, Death Cycle, United States, The Third Memory and many more. www.roklokrecords.com

I also have played guitar and sang in a band called Yes Sensei for the last 8 years. We have three albums out plus a few 7 inches, with a fourth album on the way. www.myspace.com/yessensei

I'm working on a gothic re-imagining of the Oz books. In mine, Dorothy is a teenaged Goth chick who slits her wrists and after passing out in the ambulance, awakens in Oz. Munchkinland is a plague-ridden village, the Emerald City is a dystopian Amsterdam, the Wicked Witch is a vicious woman whose "flying monkeys" are handmade homunculi, and that's just my reimagining of the FIRST book.

I also have countless other projects in the pipeline, many of which may end up getting aborted and re-imagined in another form.

I've bee doing audio recoding for a while. Mostly my own stuff but I've done a few other projects. I recorded the song "Lonely Night" for The Power of Positive Thinking. I'm also playing in a band called Xeric Seas and doing my solo stuff under Archelon. Click the link in my sig to hear it.

I've been an on and off ametuer photographer for quite a while. I really enjoy doing van-dyke and cyanotype prints. There are a few examples on my music page.

I've worked some crazy jobs...but I write about that some other time.

Ive painted figurines for years and I hit the canvas very occasionally. Paint works better for me than any other kind of medium for images, odd I know. And before someone asks, yes I did play Warhammer and no I do not play it any more - GASLIGHT or Armies of Arcana if I use minis.

Apart from that I have many years experience in the field of hospitality, even have a degree in it. I have been known to make parties show up out of then air and can tend a decent bar.
