Rock Of Ages. It's cheesier than a grilled cheese sandwich.
The music was pretty good, the set designs, make-up, etc. all are amazing but the two main characters aren't good actors at all (The guy, Diego Boneta used to be a soup opera actor and it's not shocking that his performance is terrible) and the lack of plot starts killing the movie at the 20 minute mark and it's a LONG movie (136 minutes). The other actors do a nice job though (Tom Cruise in particular is amazing).

I haven't seen this film, but what doesn't sit well with me is that Cruise is supposed to be some Axl Rose/Vince Neil type character - who sings covers? That just doesn't make sense.

Pretty good. A thinly disguised super-hero movie, but that didn't bother me one bit. Some cool looking scenes and a pretty good superhuman battle at the end.
But it is all done in that "amateur" style that Cloverfield and Blair Witch is done in (with less camera shakiness), so if you're not into that, you may not like it.

You're getting a sequel.BurningDoom wrote:![]()

I'd rather have a sequel to Jumper. Now that was a fun movie...

I liked it. The last 20 minutes was basically the 3rd quarter of AKIRA.

I'm biased, big time, on chronicle. The movie stunk of max landis, and I can't stand the guy. Too pretentious for me on almost every level.indecks wrote: I liked it. The last 20 minutes was basically the 3rd quarter of AKIRA.

I saw Red Dawn on the Military Channel last night. Also saw the remake trailer when I saw Expendables 2. I'm not all for newer re-images of older movies but this one looks promising.

The Cabin in the Woods 8/10
Loved this movie. Really wish the trailers hadn't spoiled any of the plot, but still a fun time and a nice little take on a genre movie.
Didn't know Sigorney Weaver was even in this one , that was a nice touch.
Loved the nod to jpop horror in this one. Laughed my ass off when i saw that.
