Have they announced any new 3DS XL colors for NA? I haven't seen anything and I am thinking of picking one up. I guess it might be a bit before they do. I just really do not like the colors on offer. Black, white, even bronze would be cool. *sigh*

^It may be worth waiting until closer to the holidays to pick up a system. There's always the chance that they'll release a special edition to part consumers from their cash.

Might get a 3DS very soon if Code of Princess turns out to be good.. It also gives me and excuse to buy Pokemon once again .. I want to a unique color as well! Might think about trading in my Vita for the upcoming white version being released soon.. It looks amazing..

Well I bought a red one. They all play the same games right. Looking at the blue display models I was afraid it would be kind of metallic but the red ones do not appear so thankfully. I got it at GS and picked up a 'new' copy of Shiren the Wanderer for $20. I stopped at BB and they had an actual new copy of Valkrie Profile I nabbed for $12.99. I was hoping someone would have The Dark Spire or EO1-3 but I guess I'll have to get those on ebay. I don't think I'll be picking up an actual 3DS game until EO4 comes out.


I haven't had a DS for a few years now but the XL doesn't seem all that bigger than what I remember from my lite. It probably would be if I held one next to the other though I imagine.

I also bought some English ale and Scottish stout to go with it tonight.

Fire Red 3DS's have been discontinued in Japan. I can't believe the 3DS has been around so long already that colors are going out of print.

I want to pick up a 3DS, but I really don't play portables anymore. For me, its pretty embarrassing in public, and I've gotten to where I drive too much for it to be usable in the car. I want to get a 3DS so I can get DS games too... there aren't any colors that really jump out at me.

(Need to learn to paint consoles, or decals or something. Get some silver scrollwork to go on a black 3DS? I think yes.)

You realize you can play portables in your house. That's what I do. The only time I use them as portables is when I fly or when I go to PAX (and when I fly I have no problem showing off my modded frontlit GBC).
