Do you like the direction video games are going In?

Nope.. I do like the fact that a lot of games are implementing online multiplayer elements, but that's about it.. Single player experiences are getting worse with each passing day..

As I pointed out, it's the fact that it's a console, and that consoles are (apparently) special creatures. That aspiring developers could have just programmed for Windows didn't diminish what the Net Yaroze represented at the time, for example.MrPopo wrote:They already have this. I don't know what the arguments are but PC gaming is always better than the shit console peasants have.

I do have to say that the onlive failed, and evo smart console will bring it some competition.Gunstar Green wrote:I'm kind of cynical about the Ouya. It's doing what PC and console download services have done for years and pretending its revolutionary because it doesn't have an optical drive. It also just seems like a further dumbing-down of things for the smart phone generation (because you know, if we call it "app based gaming" suddenly it's different than PSN and XBLA somehow).
Maybe I'm just living in the past. This stubbornness isn't new, I almost never buy anything until its on the verge of being obsolete.

It's really hard for me to organise with people to come over to play a game, and playing with random online people really sucks for me because its either playing with a unpredictable robot, or a 13 year old internet tough guy.
