I'm baaaack! I moved into my new apartment and finally have internet. I will definitely be participating this month.... then I leave for Europe for another month and have to wait until December to get back to normal. At least it will be one of my favorites.
Off to EE!

Don't know if the Famicom version counts for anything but I decided to give it a shot. Second time playing this game, it was actually more enjoyable than i thought it would be. I hate to sound like I am making an excuse but the damn flickering makes bullets invisible. I never knew what hit me.

Nice FC score. That was the first place I ever played it, because I thought the name was just weird enough to try on an emulator. In true Micronics style, lots of flicker, and that's the 2nd boss in Round 4.

Gave it another go before bed. This game is very monotonous on the surface, but it offers up a good challenge.

That's exactly why I love it so much. Someone might be turned off by the simple graphics, the looping soundtrack, the fact that shots don't travel all the way up the screen, but if you can get past all that, you can get in a zone.
I've not even gotten close to a million on the arcade game. Something about that FC version then.....

I had no idea this was on the Capcom collection. Furthermore, I didn't know I owned it for PS2. I assume it's the arcade version. It's a lot harder than the Famicom version.

That is the arcade version. I bet the FC port doesn't have half the chaos that the original throws at you.
Which is why your score tracks well with my latest.
