noiseredux October horror film spooktacular 2012
Re: noiseredux October horror film spooktacular 2012
Since Ghostbusters was mentioned earlier, I feel I should tell you all that last night I discovered my neighbor's girlfriend has never seen either film, so I lent out both of them and demanded she watch them that night. Friday I may be going over there to watch the Braves, so we'll see what she thought.

Arguably the only "normal" film by the guys that brought us August Underground, this one is 1/2 zombie film, 1/4 drama, 1/8 war commentary and 1/8 Taxi Driver. It's pretty solid and Camile Keaton in particular (Yes, the star of I Spit On Your Grave is in this film) is amazing.
Obviously, being a film made by Toetag... the gore effects are top notch and there's a dog called Fulci

It very well may be. I'd love to see him go out after a World Series win for the Braves, but just getting to this point on his final season has gotta feel pretty damn good.Luke wrote:Is it possibly Chipper's last game?Ack wrote: Friday I may be going over there to watch the Braves, so we'll see what she thought.
Speaking of which, are there any horror baseball games?

Chipper wrote a great article in SI around two weeks ago (back page). You may want to give it a read.
Any game with the Cubs in it is a horror game to me.

Guess I will have to look it up. I know he hates the new format of the two wild card teams. Is it about that, or retiring?
And what about horror baseball films? Besides Battlefield Baseball.

He's not exactly eloquent, and I'm sure there was some heavy editing but it is a heartfelt article on playing the game how he wanted to play it. It's a bit self centered, and he's no Ray Bourque, but he has without a doubt been one of the most loyal teammates in MLB history.
Not that being moved to a new team is a bad thing (Ray moved to Colorado to win the Cup with the support of the Bruins and their fans) but loyalty in sports/business is rare.
My hat is off to Chipper.
Sorry, nothing comes to mind as far as horror baseball games. Some koopa troopers throw baseballs at you (while wearing football helmets) in SMWorld.

I'm currently watching the first half of Psycho (1960) for the third time in two days.
