Can't use chat
So I tried to use the chat room, and it wouldn't load. Is there some kind of software I need to download?

The one embedded on the site uses Flash. You can use any client or webclient you want to get in.
There's hundreds of web clients (websites that will allow you to interact) and there's thousands of dedicated clients which you can download.
The server is: irc.gamesurge.net
the channel is: #racketboy
But, GameSurge has an official webclient (which ... the site really should be using) it's HTML5, so there's less chance of tomfoolery on the software end.

You just put in your user name and the channel.
