no, good point.

why the Centipede hate? It seems like a good no-shmup/classic arcade game compromise...

plus, we can look forward to 30 posts about the trackball from CRT ;)

From a management perspective, probably a good idea to let some other ideas come in also before we lock anything in. It's only been a couple days. We had a lot more nominations last year so want to give people time to find the thread.

haha. I've just always been terrible at Centipede and get bored with it fast. I was just playing it last month on the remake DC disc too, so it's fresh in my head that I don't enjoy it.

@Apple: I woudln't be opposed to Bubble Bobble.

@RSG: I was only kidding when I said I wanted everyone's opinion. Ultimately I'm going to lock the thread tonight and we're playing nothing but Darkstalkers-related games for the year. Sorry.

Comix Zone
Genesis/Megadrive,GBA,numerous compilation discs for PS3/360
Beat-em-up
One of thee best-looking games on the Megadrive, came out late in the lifespan of it, so it isnt all that wellknown to the masses, worth a playthrough though!

LOL - just looking out since there was some unsettlement last year with quick turnarounds.

We should play Millipede instead, it's 10,000x better than Centipede IMO.

how about Dragon's Lair as a golden age arcade classic? Ports are on um... everything with a screen.

Why not switch from SC5 to SC52? I'm sure less of us have played that. It's even better, so I hear, and also on X360.

I would agree with this, I hope this list you all put together isn't final. I wasn't here for the nominations or voting last year, but weren't there genre vote threads and all that? It seems like we took leftovers from last year and 1 or 2 people's suggestion and threw it against the wall and VOILA! a list in 2 days with only that much people's input. Also what DSH said, TSS had too many "pricey" ports and so we go with MG2 which doesn't seem all that much different as far as the ports?

And where the heck did HL2 come from for an FPS idea? Why not Deus Ex? Heck of a lot more playability there.

Plus, unlike this year where I was and am able to play everything, next year doesn't look all that grand for me so far

All I'm asking is, please don't finalize everything in 2 days. There's got to be more.
