Recca will set him back about $400 though. Even the pirate is about $100.
And its worth every penny.

I decided to hunt down a converter first. I went to a local shop yesterday and they had some NES carts with the five screws in the back. I bought a copy of Baseball for 99 cents, but it didn't have the converter inside. Turns out that this particular cart isn't on the list...

They had a 99 cent Golf, so I'll have to go back and look to see if it's five screws or not.

Good luck finding a convertor. I might be able to hook you up with a convertor if you want.

I played a little-known gem of a puzzle game called "Binary Land", and it's one of my favorite games on the famicom.

That guide is pretty handy, i didn't know about the 5 screw thing, but wieght is a dead givaway.
I used an old copy Gyromite that was a pack in for the first NES release. It feels much heavier than the regular sale copies. Just buy one for a couple bucks and pull the convertor off the chipset. It's a works perfectly.

I just got my Recca repro today. Holeeeee shit. You watch videos of it on youtube and think.. naah can't be that fast and crazy. But wow, just wow.

Nobody's gonna miss the Jurassic Park donor that was used.

More hat tips for Crisis Force and Gradius II, assuming you don't pick up the latter for the PC Engine or in a Deluxe Pack for PSX or Sat.

(doh was googling for whether the blue eggs were just points and misread date at top, hooray zombie thread lives)
