Wow. $100,000 to be bored out of your mind for 3 hours. I'm SO glad I didn't pay anything to see the 2 Tarkovsky movies I forced myself to sit through.

Actually I don't remember being AS disappointed by Solaris as I was with STALKER. Do you like his movies? I'm actually really curious about your thoughts on them. I don't think I've ever really talked to anyone who's seen them. Even the film students I know stay away. haha

I've only seen Stalker but I really enjoyed that. It was like watching a weird dream when they entered the Zone. The only reason why I found that crazy price was looking for a criterion copy of Solaris :D

$50usd for a plastic hat?

Could become a stupid collectible, never know.

I will admit that I have always wanted a venom/black Spidey zip up hoodie though.

Yeah I think I liked Solaris a little better. I don't think I liked Stalker as much because I watched it with friends who were really bored and
I kept expecting them to find something! I read the back cover and was like, "YES! There's definitely gonna be mutant humans there!" And then nothing.
I did like how weird it felt in the Zone though. I don't know. I guess it was just TOO Russian for me.

I can't imagine watching that film with friends. Maybe you should watch again but solo.

I have found that reading about politics is a sure sign that I'm not doing too well. Double points if it's about feminism and three if it's the one that claims the movement to cover both men and women but only acts on the later.

It's like pinching yourself to feel alive, yuck!

Speaking of politics, Obama seems to have filled up on weaksauce tonight.
