Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Help?! What game is this? Popeye?

Post by sdsowlsa »

Hi,

I recently found a game for i believe the atari 2600 titeled, "Popeye". The cover is a mustached strong man drinking beer while surrounded by a table of food. When i looked up online to see the value of this game, i couldn't find this version of the game anywhere, it was just the usual popeye's face on all the games. Does anyone know what the heck i have? Thanks for any help.

Have you been able to play it at all? If so, describe it.

No, and it really doesn't need to be in Buy/Sell/Trade. Somebody either merge this or delete this one.

I know nothing about 2600 games.

Might be a bootleg. Friend of mine has "Fishing Dherby" that I believe they got from Egypt. Weird art.

It's the european release.

It's known as a "Quelle Popeye" and atari age has it's rarity as unknown. That could mean anything though.

I found this with 2 minutes worth of searching on the internet, probably all I'm gonna invest in it.

You can take it from there.
