Re: Shmup of the Month Club (X-Multiply)
I probably won't play much til December for Dodonpachi. I have a lot going on until about the 2nd week of December, plus a couple overseas trips. I'll try to get some scores in my free time, but they won't be very good. I'll the year with a bang with DoDonPachi.

I'll certainly play some E-E if the shmup bug finds me again next month. As I suggested, i was shmupped-out from STGT coming into September...

I curious how many will show up for E-E.
I know we'll draw a bit of a crowd for Mars Matrix.
Still working on X-M. Stage 6 is where the game gets *real*.
You know I'll be there for *my* game.
And I secured a copy of Mars Matrix for the DC when we do that.
Keep the shmup blood a flowin!

Final submission on this game for the month --

ExedExes - 2,684,800 - Stage 7 - MAME
Yes, Stage 7. Make it through 6 and you get another extend. The way down is worse than Stage 4, but the easy boss (notice a pattern here?) makes it worth it. BUT, Stage 7 chews you up and spits you out, and throws you some of the worst checkpoints ever. Glad to have experienced it, and I did as best as I could.
See you next month!

Re: Shmup of the Month Club (NICE FIGHT!!!)
Yay October!
I like the new title. My sig shines!
I haven't forgotten about it!
I'm gonna limp-in with a rather weak score so far. I'm a bit out of shape, but like Axelay back in February, I can do much better. I didn't sink token after token into many Ultracade cabinets for nothing!
ExedExes (the name) - 177,500 - Round 3 - MAME

I tried doing EXED RB#1 but it was a fail. No space next time

Something must be wrong with my MAME rom: the bullets don't fire all the way to the top of the screen

Nothing wrong with that at all, that's how it is. Bullets only travel halfway, but powered-up bullets travel father. One of the neat little quirks about the game

that "neat little quirk" is, to me, an "off-putting mechanic"
