Have You Ever Lost a Game?
I recently bought Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire for N64 (for under $5!). After testing it to make sure it worked properly, I went to put it in my collection, right next to Star Wars: Rogue Squadron. And to my horror, it was gone! It wasn't in my N64, and I'm nearly positive I didn't trade it or sell it. And if someone were to steal it, why would they take just 1 game?
This is driving me nuts! I know it's easy to find and cheap, but it's the principle, dammit! Where did it go?!

You'll be moving things around or cleaning the room up and you'll find it under something or behind your shelf or something like that.
I had a game vanish on me for a bit a while back too. I don't remember being particularly heartbroken over it being missing, so it must not've been very good, but I did end up finding it later.

No, I always have all my games in the same place. If something disappears then I assume it's stolen. Although who really breaks into a house and then proceeds to steal old games/consoles? It's a pro to staying on old stuff.
Re: Have You Ever Lost a Game?
Never lost any games before but I did have a Playstation power cord mysteriously vanish on me once. I acquired it, among other things, in a local trade and I haven't seen that it since the night I got home with it. It's really strange, I could've sworn I tested it to make sure it worked, but the next day I couldn't find the damn thing anywhere. It still hasn't turned up. There really aren't many places it could've run off to and I seriously never lose anything so I'm convinced that it must have escaped through a black hole in my room or something.

I lost most of my gba games, unless I sold them which I don't remember doing.

Re: Have You Ever Lost a Game?
I lost my copy of Final Fantasy Legend II when I was in the 6th or 7th grade. It disappeared from my desk so I'm fairly certain somebody stole it. I guess I had my Game Boy on me with a different game in it since nobody took that.
The only game I've had disappear with no explanation was Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force for the PC. It should have never left my house so I have no idea what happened to it. I kept thinking it would turn up eventually as I moved stuff but it never did.

I've lost a couple, but all save for one have eventually turned up again, sometimes in very weird places.
The only one I've never found has been missing for years, that being Mortal Kombat on Game Gear.
What's really twisting my screws right now though is some missing strategy guides. I can't find the damn things for the life of me, and I'm worried they may have been tossed out in a recycling purge with a massive pile of magazines years ago.

I've moved about 5 times during the last decade. I managed to lose Robotrek during one of those moves - ended up buying another copy last year.
My brother, who is notoriously disorganized, has managed to loose games like Grandia, and Lunar 1 & 2 Complete. Drives me nuts!
