Thinking of getting a PSP

Post by mas »

Hi everyone,
I have been thinking of getting a psp model 3000. I see that the games are really cheap and the movies are even cheaper than the games. I have been doing research and before I buy one I want to know if anyone has had any problems with them. I'm also hearing to just get a brand new one instead of a used one from craigslist and gamestop.
I have played a little and played killzone and resistance and I like them. If anyone has any problems with a psp let me know before I spend 150.00 or so. Thanks

I say go for it. The controls are great and the RPG library is amazing.

My PSP is my most played console. It's a 2000 model and built like a tank. If you go used you can get them for $50 or $80 but mine has been more than worth the original $179. Also,

Get to it.

Funny thing. I have someone at work who wants either my dreamcast collection or ps1 collection or my nes collection for a psp with 12 games. My nes has the top 25 games of all time, ps1 has every 2d fighter/shooter(shmups) and same goes for dreamcast. Yeah right!!!!!
Any of those would be one of the biggest mistakes ever. That's why I'm just going to save and give it time to think over it to buy one

I recently bought a second hand PSP Go in great condition for 60 pounds purely for emulation purposes but also play Tekken 6 on it, and am looking in to getting remakes of old school games like Out Run and Space Invaders.

Am having trouble getting CPS2 and MVS games to run but other than that it has flawless emulation with everything I tried other than N64 and great control. It's replaced my Dingoo A320 and XiaoBaWang Z12 as my most played handheld (mainly due to the bigger and sharper screen).

I also like the Go because the screen is above the controls rather than in between, meaning that if I'm sitting on the sofa with the PSP on my lap the screen is slightly raised, better for my neck I think.
