Unfortunately, there is not much hope of finding those...especially since I try to hunt my games in the "wild." Unless the price on those cart drops dramatically, I will likely spring for some repros when I get to the point where those are the only games that I am seeking to add to my collection.

Yeah the DS boxes are meh. But some day they could be used. I dont have the cooking mama games, but now I can buy the cart only games from gamestop and I have the boxes. We'll see.
Hey, Cooking Mama is FUN. I like it.

That has to be frustrating though.

Edit so I don't have to double post:
What do you guys think of this? Not sure if it's a good deal or not since it was kind of an impulse buy, but it's Chip n' Dale: Rescue Rangers CIB for $9 shipped on eBay. The box is in....Ok condition.... But the game and manual seem to be very good.

Had a pretty good find today:

A J PS2 Ocean Blue with matching controller and memory card. It also has the network adapter and a 40gig hdd installed. I had a hell of a time getting it to display to tv as I bumbled through the menus and finally got it working haha. Was using component cables and had to change the video setting.

It also came with about 17 games. Some RPGs, soccer games, a few racing etc...

Got it all for $60 so I knew it was a good find worth jumping on. I really like the color of the system, and thinking of modding it to play my English games, but Hobie thinks I should keep it pristine...

Anyone know why I cant change the setting from 4:3 to 16:9, or the menu language from japanese to english? I believe I see the option for english on there, but the cursor wont move over to it.

Agree, don't mod. US PS2's are cheap enough.

yeah you guys are probably right heh. The only reason for doing so was to use the blue PS2 as my main unit as I liked the color.

Any idea what it is worth? I figured what I got ntscu wouldve been worth it, but the blue color and the jpn console would make it more valuable. I obviously dont have a lot of use for the RPGs, but I guess I should dig into what games are easily playable with language barrier and didnt make it over here.

I tried playing the RE Outbreak to mixed results earlier lol.

Lufia 2 (Cart only) SNES: $25
Illusion of Gaia (Cart only) SNES: $25

Not bad prices as I was eventually going to get them, so it's nice not to pay "too much" for them.
