What is Resident Evil again?

This part. I honestly can't comprehend why any fan of the series could actually play through this part of the game and then actually say with a straight face that the game has no resemblance to the classic titles or no horror elements.Menegrothx wrote:I never understood the hatred against RE4, it's a 10/10 game. It has a real horror soundtrack just like the original 3 games. No one can argue that the first third of the game isn't done well. Sure the castle and the island don't look as decayed and dark as the village so they aren't as scary, but they do have some good moments (playing as unarmed Ashley, pushing the heavy trash cans with Ashley while the Iron Maidens are chasing you in the garbage pit, the regenerators in the freezer, the invisible enemies in the sewer and the boss which you have to freeze with nitrous oxidie).AppleQueso wrote:I still maintain that RE4 is much more of a horror game and much more in line with the spirit of the classic series than most people ever give it credit for, especially in light of the most recent titles.

The line reading of "I lost over Seventy Thousand People!...including the President because of Simmons" is hilarious. Not as hilarious as the title screen of "Resident Evil ZEROOOO!", but still funny.
I have RE4 on the Wii and completely suck at playing it. I've thought about picking it up on the PS2 or PC as it seems like it would be a great game if I could handle the controls. Seems like keyboard and mouse would be the way to go.

It takes some time to get used to the wii controls but they are superb once you do. One of the few games where waggle controls (during quick time events) actually work, they're more intense that way.Luke wrote: I have RE4 on the Wii and completely suck at playing it.
