Best way to play imports on a Gamecube?

Post by Kevman »

I was going to buy Kururin Squash for the G-Cube but I am aware of the region lock that the gamecube has. What would be the best/cheapest way to play imports.

P.S. By best I mean without mod-chips and such.

Well I had a Jap Gamecube that was hard modded with a US switch that I then used a Freeloader to play PAL UK games on. So I would reccommend either of the two, a hard mod switch or the Freeloader bootdisk. Bear in mind that you have to do the disk swap every time you play, which might get on your nerves (didn't bother me, the games were good enough to go through it).

Just type in Google Gamecube Freeloader and you should find one for sale. As for modchips, I'm no expert as I got a shop to do mine so you'd have to ask someone else :(
