Just won this in a nail-biter of an auction. Not bad if everything works as advertised since lots of people sell just the control deck itself with no wires or controllers for this price. It helps that I've been meaning to pick up Abadox for a while now.

Confession time, I sold my NES back in the mid 90's I've only owned various clones since 2005 when I started collecting NES games again. It was a yellow label copy of Metroid and a $10 Yobo FC Game Console that caused me to catch the bug. Good times.

Feels good to have a real NES on its way.

I just use a third party sniping site and set my max bid and forget it. That way you either win the auction for what you wanted to pay, or lose it, but dont get bid happy and drive the price up.

I went with my girlfriend to the beach to visit her family who owns a thrift store. We volunteered there and I found a box with a very nice (working) condition SNES with 2 controllers, hookups, and:
Super Mario World
Sim city
Hook
B.O.B
F-Zero
Super Gameboy
Super Star Wars
Pokemon Gold.

All of the games were in pretty good, working condition.
I asked them how much they wanted for it, and they said I could have it for free.
Other than that, I have had to resort to eBay to try and build my collection. I have had no luck at yard sales, craigslist, etc.

My sister found a CIB Pikachu N64 at GoodWill one time and bought it for $6. And she isn't even a retro game enthusiast....

The person who sold you that nes lives in Lebanon IN. It is literally like 20 minutes from where I live in Illinois! !!! I had to throw that out there.

I just found a Super Game Boy for $5. No big deal, right? Well this one in particular came with two things, and was UNUSED. Still dust covered and all. Contacts are factory shiny. And it came with the instruction manual, and the complete color guidebook thing. No box unfortunately, but I can't even try to complain given the price.
