Does anyone understand the premise of a back-up? It is a BACKUP to a game you OWN.

If you don't own it, call it a rip. At least have the personal honesty to call it what it is.

And no, you shouldn't rip any game you have current access to at the local retailer.

Is it possible to mod it to play legit games of another region? And still be able to go online?

Not with it still being able to go online. Microsoft has been surprisingly good at keeping both soft and hard modded consoles offline. Honestly, I'd say the best bet would be to pull up an old Jasper model to mod up.

What is it called if I have a copy of it with intention to buy the original in the future?

To be honest, you in the west just do not feel this. you have so many options.

You can buy new , you can buy used, you can rent, you can download a digital version, you can join monthly payed services like OnLive , you can sell your used games and all with low shipping price.

Do you know that we can not buy off the iTunes store because our Credit Cards has to match out IN USA address . So even that I am willing to pay the money, they wont let me buy unless my credit card matches a US address . We have to use the "local store" which has nothing it as far as I know. Then you will realize that pirating is not about money but more about convenience .

btw, a lot of people here switch to Android devices because the Google store does not force you with such restrictions. People say everything you pay for on the iTunes store is free on the Google store, which I find hard to believe. How do people make money then?
