I prefer a glossy finish over a matte one for a console. I have a fat PS3 but since I don't carry it around at all it doesn't collect fingerprints.

glossy seems to really attract dust really strongly in my experience

If they'd done the basic shape but with metal housing, matte finish, without the stupid texturing it could have looked really nice. Thinking like, smooth, with a look like the MGS4 special edition console.

Basically, make it look like it was designed in Germany, not Hong-Kong.

(doesn't matter so much where it was -actually- designed, just saying what it looks like to me)

Yup. The MGS4 "gun metal" finish, and the Satin Silver consoles were the 2 fat PS3's I can think of that weren't glossy but had a great finish. My Satin Silver Console looked new for the 3 years I had it, my gloss black one... Not so much.

It looks decent enough to me. I for sure like the opening mechanism, though a normal pop lid would have been preferable.

Still won't convince me to buy a slim though. I be wanting one of them there fats that has BC. But overheating...

In what way exactly does the SNES 2 look "cheap"? Or at least cheaper than the standard model? Maybe it's me, but I've always preferred my video game consoles to have curves, like a voluptuous woman, rather than be boxy like a little boy.

In all honesty, the US SNES model sucks. Even the cartridges look like ass. Especially these...

You spaniards and... no government countrymen can keep your stinkin' pal systems.

I'll sit here loving my grey and purple beauty with its cool concave X and Y buttons on its controllers.

We also have carts with end labels.
