I'm really bad when it comes to beating rpgs  They usually end up languishing for months or longer without completion. So finishing this one game by the end of the week will make me really proud of myself..... Unless I run into the same problem dsh did, then I'll probably just get pissed off

Due to my Wii getting packed up ready for my impending move to London, my challenge is over for the summer. I still intend to beat Prime 3 before the year's out though. I've been killing time with Final Fantasy V instead. I'm probably only half way through, but I already like it so much more than FFIV.

Michi, your characters are level 60? Thats crazy, I finished the game with my team between 47-53!

No one is at 60 just yet, but they are damned close. Everyone's between 1-3 levels away from 60 right now. At this rate, by the time I'm done, I'd guess that at least half of them will be at or above 60.

I don't know if it has something to do with me going through the Cave of Trials, whether I'm just hitting more random battles than I used to, or whether I spent to much time grinding in the Sylph Cave, but everyone's jumped about 3 levels in this dungeon, and I wasn't even trying :?

IT IS DONE.

All right, all of my characters didn't make it to 60 like I thought, but I didn't run in to as many random battles as the rest of the dungeon so...*shrugs*

I ended up having to fight Zeromus twice. On the first attempt he spammed Big Bang, and, bless Rosa's little White Mage heart, but she just couldn't heal everybody fast enough. Thankfully, I anticipated this thanks to dsh's earlier playthrough, so I saved after defeating Ogopogo, so as not to have to go through that battle again. *whew*

I was afraid I was going to have the same issues dsh did, but the second time around was much easier. Zeromus only used Big Bang once and then mixed it up with Bio and Black Hole, making the whole battle much easier. I was a little worried there near the end when his turn came around and and the top of the screen flashed Meteor. I litterally made a  face, then I laughed as I realized it missed. Two attacks later and he veeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrry slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwly slid to the bottom of the screen.

So, I'm done now, and with a couple days to spare, no less.

I thought about starting Indigo Prophecy since it's much shorter, but I'm not going to push it. I achieved the goal I set out to reach in my first post, which was to complete at least one of the three games I selected. I've done that (and it was the longer one, too), so I'm considering this a success :D

Congrats, Michi, I really enjoyed reading your progress and thoughts on the game. Glad the last 1/3 was better for you than it was for me!

Thanks. It was a lot of fun :D

And now that I've finished it, I can easily see why you got so pissed off near the end. While going through the cut-scene the second time I tried to time it, and it came out to around 7 minutes from the time I lost control till the time I regained it. Add in having to go back through a good chunk of the dungeon again because of a lack of save point is a very big bummer indeed and beyond frustrating. Especially considering that most of the other dungeons had save points closer to the end. It's almost like they placed it there to purposefully piss people off :?

With yesterday being the official end of the summer, I successfully completed 10 of my 12 games and am about 3/4 through Jet Set Radio which could have been number 11.
I really liked this challenge since the summer is the only time I can pull off playing games 4 days (minimum) a week and I look forward to doing it again next year.

This was probably my worst year thus far. I only beat two of the ten on my list, but I did put in some serious time with about seven of them. I'm up for it again next year, but might need to rethink my strategy of selecting/playing games...
