I thought it was fantastic. The sound design, the atmosphere, Gretchen Lodge's performance (She's absolutely amazing, fearless and it's her first leading role  ) and it's creepy beyond belief.

Quite interested in other people's opinion in that case...

I thought it was shit. Too much of everything, but not enough of anything...

And the ending. So freakin' cheap. Lameness...

This made me smile, as Dredd is tons of fun. It's going to be compared to RAID, a lot, which isn't fair, but the fact that everyone seems to "get" DREDD makes my day. That, and the movie itself makes my day.

FGD (focus group director): What do you want in an action movie?

Screener: Um. Action. A lot of it.

FGD: Sure you don't want a few extra villains and a convoluted plot?

Screener: I kinda just want to see action and people get their head's blown completely off.

FGD: So what I'm hearing is that you want the hero to go through some struggle that can't be solved by violence? Hm?

Screener: No. Violence, action, and a badass who has his own rules.

FGD: How about a Dredd plane that saves the universe without explanation?

Screener: I don't care if he shoots people or knocks them out, I want to see the the main character being the main character while beating/killing the shit out of armies of baddies.

FGD: What are your thoughts on fear gas and political struggles?

Screener: How many times do I have to say GUNS, SPLATTERED BRAINS, ACTION, ONE LINERS AND A BADASS SUPERHERO?

Holy %#$&@$% what an awesome movie! I wasn't enamoured by the girl who played Elena, but everything else was spot-on. Make sure to watch this sitting comfortably and at loud volume. I'm going to look for a soundtrack as soon as possible.

Edit - No OST! Damnations!

Time of the Wolf (2003) by Michael Haneke - a strange and sparse post-apocalyptic drama stripped down to the barest essentials in order to examine the effects the unnamed cataclysm has on ordinary people, and the drastic and disturbing measures they turn to in order to survive. The story follows a young French family from the city travelling to their remote summer home in the country, who find when they arrive that some global disaster has befallen while they were en-route and that, as supplies dwindle, society begins to crumble. While the film feels intentionally vague and ambiguous, and what some might consider dull as it meanders along with little change in pace or scenery, it is the strength of the characters that kept me interested. None of the characters can be easily defined as good or bad, they all have their shades of grey, no matter how slight, and that is only magnified by the need for survival the premise presents. Overall, I found Time of the Wolf a difficult film, bleak and depressing in equal measure, but one that is also a unique and uncompromising drama. 7/10

One note, I didn't really appreciate seeing what was clearly a real horse executed on camera. It just seemed needless after a shot of the horse being shot to then have a prolonged close-up of the horse as it's throat was slit. I wouldn't say it detracts from the film, but it kinda took me out of the moment for a good few minutes.

Marvel Films Spoilers.
I can't confirm any of this, but what I've been told sounds right and makes sense. You may want to skip the next spoiler(s).

It really shouldn't come as any surprise but...
People other than SHIELD agents are going to kick the bucket apparently. A Biggie* (or two).

I like this move if it is indeed true.
*Not that Biggie. He's the strongest there is.
