I have a modchip laying around still sealed. It could force progressive in pal games or just play ntsc games so i may give it a try if it is really an upgrade. A screenshot comparison or a video comparison would be handy but it seems no one has both cables.

Similarly I can't find a good look at the PAL gamecube boot menu. I've heard they replaced Japanese in its BIOS (that essential NTSC region switch mod solving various problems for JP games!) with other languages.
