spending $350 dollars to start SNES collection?

Post by Goregasm »

I've decided to sell my SNES console and games to get some quick cash in order to move into a new place. Im only doing this because my girlfriend agreed to let me spend half of the bond money from our current place to restart my SNES collection.

How would you guys spend $350 on a SNES collection from scratch? Thats including buying the console.

Personally, after the console, I'd at least nab Super Mario All Stars + Super Mario World, Zelda: ALTTP, Super Metroid, and maybe Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy III or something. That'd at least get the not-too-expensive must-have titles out of the way I figure, and should still leave you with enough left over to buy a bunch of your other favorites.

I don't get it. You're selling your SNES collection to get some quick cash and then you are planning to buy SNES stuff again? Why not get a loan somewhere? Or just sell the SNES stuff that you don't want to keep?

350$? Starting? Duuude, just get the games you want slowly, as you play them!

Super Famicom with 2 European SNES controllers* and PowerPak...

* European SNES controllers have longer cords and are compatible with Super Famicom consoles.

Unfortunately, with SNES that's a bad idea as prices seem to only go up with time.

Do you mean "collection to play" or "collection to collect dust"?

If it's to play, get the basics:
Super Mario World
Yoshi's Island
Super Mario RPG
Donkey Kong Country
Super Mario Kart
Castlevania IV
Link to the Past
F-Zero

and so on.

Basically look at any top 50 list and pick out the games you want.

This. I don't get it either. Maybe the OP needs to redo his post so it makes sense.

You won't be able to pick up too many of the really good snes games for only $350. SNES game prices have really gone up lately...

Also very cost and space effective in the long run.

Might be a good thing for the wife...
