Borderlands 2 PC multiplayer meetups + Gamespy IDs
Re: Borderlands 2 PC multiplayer meetups + Gamespy IDs
And the preorder DLC can be used by anyone. Don't need it on your steam account, people are downloading it and just adding it to the steam directory and its working. I hate stuff like that, if it happens with the retail DLC it will really piss me off, this on top of the golden key cfg edit, gearbox need to patch their shit.

My 9600gt was running everything on high except Physx and only 4xAA, with a fairly steady 45ish FPS, but then it crashed so I am running everything on low until I have time to play with the settings.emwearz wrote:My GTX285 runs it at 60FPS with everything on the highest other than PhysX, which runs at 60fps in most areas but can drop down to below 30fps, so I leave it on LOW.Xeogred wrote:I keep hearing how well optimized it is as well, wonder if my Radeon HD 5570 could handle it on medium or something?... wish there was a demo of sorts.
The game is pretty, Hammerlock is awesome, but it hasnt grabbed me yet. Im at level 20 as zero, but Ive also hindered myself a couple times by selling off my gun accidentally...

hoping to play a bit later tonight if anyone wants to join in (9pm EST - whenever). I just arrived at Sanctuary and am ready to do "Plan B" so anything around that point would be great. Hobie did you play much past where we were yesterday?

You do realize there's a buyback tab, right?Hobie-wan wrote:I did that once too.fastbilly1 wrote:Ive also hindered myself a couple times by selling off my gun accidentally...
I'm just past that point. Plan B is just a faff about town for a bit quest, and I'm on the next storyline mission after that. I've also done a single side quest from Sanctuary, the one where the hunter guy wants to rename the four armed yetis. So I'll probably hop in your game after I get home tonight and do my daily Pump.hoping to play a bit later tonight if anyone wants to join in (9pm EST - whenever). So apparently you can make the game think you own a license to the season pass by changing a single number in a txt file (the same with other DLC), so in theory when the DLC drops, people just have to put the files on there computer with a 2 in a txt file.
Really sloppy from Gearbox, even more so considering how easy it was to do stuff in BL1.
And unless patched the method will work as it works for people with premier dlc who don't own it in steam.
Same with golden keys,

meh, whatver. I bought that stuff because I want to support the game. I don't care if it is easily hacked/pirated since it is inevitable it would be anyway. No skin off my back, but a potential problem for GB of course...emwearz wrote:So apparently you can make the game think you own a license to the season pass by changing a single number in a txt file (the same with other DLC), so in theory when the DLC drops, people just have to put the files on there computer with a 2 in a txt file.

It is cool to see so many people on my friends list playing the game at once

I am just 'reporting' what I am seeing pop up in BL2 forums.
It would have been great to have weapons locked down, etc. It would have been great to have a 'trade market' of sorts.

Damn, yeah this game runs like a champ on my PC... seems to run even better than Bad Company 2 (I had that on medium for most things).
The accidental selling issue... yeah, what I wanted from the first game isn't here either I guess, I'd love to see more inventory customization/control. Since that's all these games are, loot and weapons. I just wish you could like, "save" slots (like lock them or something?), or just group things better, and stuff like that.
Really impressed otherwise so far. I loved the first to death, so no surprise here. I still might pick it up for the 360 as well to play with some buddies that have it on that.
