They made sure that 95% of their locations got rid of GBA stuff before the 3DS arrived, so I'm sure they'll do the same for Gamecube. The bigger question is: will they still be selling PS2 games when the PS4 launches?BlackDS wrote:that would be hilarious if Gamestop was still selling gamecube games as the wiiU rolls out

Looks fantastic in 1080p with 8x AA though.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I was browsing through PS2 games at a local GS the other day, and an employee approached me and told me that within the next two weeks all stores in the area are going to stop carrying PS2 games. He said something about there being stores in the mid-west that sell PS2 games abnormally well and that most of GS's PS2 stock is going to be shipped there. Not sure how/if that applies to other areas or if there's any truth to it though.BoringSupreez wrote:The bigger question is: will they still be selling PS2 games when the PS4 launches?

On the topic of Gamestop getting rid of older stuff:
My local GS supposedly stopped selling Gamecube games a while back. I'm not sure if I believe it because they've literally gone from having them on sale, to having them packed away in the back because they "don't sell them anymore" to back out on the shelves again. I haven't been back lately to see for myself. Actually, come to think of it, last time I went to GS was to get Skyward Sword so I didn't even pay attention to what games they had. haha

Maybe some of the stores in my area will be recipients? I can always hope.brunoafh wrote:I was browsing through PS2 games at a local GS the other day, and an employee approached me and told me that within the next two weeks all stores in the area are going to stop carrying PS2 games. Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Highly questionable source here... but I read a post on tumblr by someone who claimed to be a Gamestop employee and they claimed that Gamestop would phase out PS2 stuff by the end of the year. That seems kinda quick to me though. Especially considering there do seem to be some stores that still have Gamecube games floating around.

I remember posting something similar in the other random thoughts thread awhile ago. I very much hope to own one of these someday as well.Dylan wrote:I must have an X68000.
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I've realized recently that sometimes I don't finish my favorite games, but I do finish crappier ones. I think that the great games deserve more focused attention, and then I don't have the time for that, so I play some game I don't really care about when I only have like 30 minutes or something. The ridiculous thing is that I ultimately spend more time with games that are only average or that are really short, and I don't end up spending as much time on the big games that I actually think are better games.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
On a slightly related note, I'm far more likely to sit down for four hours and beat a four hour game than I am to sit down and play four hours of a game that takes twenty to complete. I'm not exactly sure why.
