BoringSupreez, depending on the revolver, $400 is probably a good price for most brands.

Also, it's magazine, not clip. Sorry, but after having to do push-ups every time someone said the wrong thing around an instructor, you want everybody to get it right  .
My sister inlaw and newborn were in my house the day it got broke into she saw some guy walking past the kitchen window. So she hit the door lock and grabbed her cell phone she called me cause she knew i worked 5 minutes away then called the cops who took 20 minutes to respond. I didn't know where my sister inlaw and newborn nephew were the in the house. So i grabbed the gun in my truck and went in to find him stealing from my gun cabinet. I Told him to put down the gun he had and lay on the floor his reply was i should put my gun down before i hurt my self when he took a step toward me i fired a warning shot near his head he got down then. I have no problem saying i would put a bullet in somebody if they threaten me or my family. This guy had ripped out the phone line in my house and knew april and the baby were alone there. The cop said that i was lucky he useally attacked his victims. This is a time when calling the cops and waiting was not a option am i proud i shot at a man no but i would do it again if i had to.

cookie,

Sounds like you did a good job there. Truthfully, I'm not sure I would have fired a warning shot at that point, but I'm sure doing so saved a lot of legal hassle on your part. Did you have any issues with the police at all, or were you pretty much free and clear once the guy was in custody?

The cop that responded knew me i grew up with his kids. He said as long as i didn't shoot the guy in the back or outside my house and drag him in then i was in no trouble. The cop told the guy he was lucky i didn't shoot to kill.

I understand what you're saying, but choosing to shoot somebody in the shoulder over the head, knowing you could hit the head is always a criminal offense in Texas. IE, if you kill an intruder, they don't investigate nearly as hard as if you had shot his shoulder. I'm just pointing that its a tiny bit off. I understand why they do it, it just seems off.

Of course, in Texas, there's no waiting period and you can shoot ANYBODY you personally deem "threatening" that enters your property line.

Forlorn Drifter,

Thanks for the info. I had forgotten that Texas does things a little differently.

It saddens me to see how few blued steel pistols and revolvers are made these days. I like my polymer frame guns, but there is just something beautiful about a well made pistol or revolver with a deep, dark bluing.
