I frequent a used CD/DVD store near my house, they also sell old video games. They have a set price from N64 consoles, doesn't matter if it is in the box or not...they only charge $24.99. I saw this one sitting on the floor behind the counter and asked about it, it had just arrived. They seem to have no idea that boxed games and systems are worth double or triple what they sell them for...they sell boxed games for the "cart only" price...so I have found tons of great games complete this way.
Very nice! How much was the Flashback 3 in the left of the picture?

Thanks! The Flashback 3 I bought off Ebay a few years ago. I think I paid $30.00 for it at the time.

Where'd you snag that Goose? Locally in MQT, or elsewhere?

Ok so went to the local flea market last Friday and came up to where this older guy was selling alot of stuff and he had some plastic wal-mart bags with video games in them. Looked in the first bag and tried to keep my eyes in my head when I saw Final Fantasy for NES complete in a very nice box with all maps/inserts and manual. Super Mario 64 complete, Yoshis Story complete and Super Mario 2 Yoshi's Island complete. Also had Castlevania for NES in just a clear "Nintendo" rental type box. He also had another bag with some original xbox games in it. I picked out the above and sheepishly asked "What will you take for these?" and he says "10 dollars", so I snatched them up and also got Medal of Honor European Assault for Xbox for $2 more dollars!! Tried to upload the pics, keep getting red message at top saying could not upload attachment, idk, I have resised them so they should work so don't know what the problem is, anyway I will try with the pics again later.

Hit up some out of town pawn shops. The first one had 2 overprices SNES carts. I ended up attempting to buy them both purely because you never see SNES games in pawn shops, and one was Micro Machines, which I've been wanting to play. The chap behind the counter scans Micro Machines, looks really unsure for a minute, then informs me that "uh, sorry, someone already bought that on the web shop today". I was most unimpressed and asked why he couldnt tell the web customer that, unfortunately, we already sold it to someone IRL. He laughed and said "sorry buddy, thats not how it works".*

I was really pissed about this but at the next one, they had a few piles of carts behind the counter. I asked to inspect the Sega and the dude asked if I wanted to see the rest of his old games... He proceeds to bring out cardboard boxes full of MS and Mega Drive games, plus some NES and a few other bits and pieces. Nice. all stuff was $5.00 ea. If anyone wants 25 copies of 'The Ninja' cart only for Master System, hit me up.

I ended up with (all boxed)

Master System - Quartet
Master System - Space Gun
Master System - Out Run
Mega Drive - Mercs

Weirdly Quartet was ex-rental. Someone had rudely pulled the stickers off the insert and the front cover of the instructions. I cleaned up all these carts, and Quartet didn't leave a spec of dust on my Q tip! Either someone had already cleaned it, or it was a close-to-virgin cart, despite being ex-rental.

Sega Flipper for the SC3000!
Iv'e never seen a boxed one of these before, no instructions, but too cool to pass up

And a SNES action replay. Looking forward to trying this out and seeing what it can do, hoping its a good region unlocker.

He had a few of the HES pirate NES games in black carts. Most of them had an opening in the top into which you put in a legit game to bypass the lockout. The lone bad boy I grabbed, however, did not have the opening in the top. Might be a while before I try this out since my NES is broken.

I also picked up PS2 Canis Canem Edit for $2.00. *The overpriced SNES game was Pac-Attack.
