I dunno if you'll have enough time for this RPG, but if you could, I'd suggest Dragon Warrior (Quest) VII for the PSX. It's a bit underground as not many people have played it, but it has a very good storyline to it (its really woven up of multiple storylines), and I'll easily say that its the best RPG I've played. And its in English. yey
Welcome! We'll be doing Snatcher in the club fairly soon :)

Ooh! Okay, stupid question time: has anyone else had trouble running Snatcher under PicoDrive on PSP? I've tried 1.40 and 1.51 and both work well, except they mess up or altogether drop the CDDA. Thoughts on this before the game is underway?

It's Compact Disc Digital Audio (or Redbook Audio)

Heh, I like the way you think, Burban :)

I shouldn't even be asking about getting it working anyway, I've been meaning to get around to playing it through on a real SCD. I started it once years ago (2001/2002 I think) and played straight through the night. Once the sun came up, I never touched it again for some reason.

Learned something new :] yeah I couldnt put Snatcher down, I finished it in one sitting. I had some audio problem when I first put it on -I didn't name the iso in the psp folder 'Snatcher' and all the audio files follow 'Snatcher 2', 'Snatcher 3"... I dunno if it's the same problem, I think yours is already set up that way but it's all I can think of now, srry

That's a good thought, but I've got the names all correct. I wouldn't have known to do so, but I'd hit the .mp3 naming convention problem back when SCD emulation on PC was still pretty new :)

The emulator knows the .mp3s are there, but sometimes doesn't play them, sometimes plays a couple seconds then stops, and sometimes plays fully, but the wrong ones. It's weird.

No worries, though. I hooked up my SCD last night, actually. It'd been sitting by my TV for a while, disconnected, waiting for rme to start Snatcher. I'm going to get in some bad FMV games for toda and be ready when the Together Retro: Snatcher Edition begins ;)

OK -- I think we're going to ditch the idea.
I think it's causing too much confusion and we just don't have a big enough community to support it...

Did you decide to ditch the idea of doing two games at once? If so, I can respect your decision.
