Game Room & Arcade, work in progress.

Post by driph »

Just bought a 1954 house here in downtown Las Vegas, and sometime in the past a couple of addons were built, adding an art studio and a random small room with a bathroom.

These rooms will become a small arcade and gaming room, and I'll post images here as I progress.

Day 1 (or so). Moving in and painting:

Cool. I'm keen to see what your pachinko machine looks like. Here's my Heiwa after I finally got glass for the door.

Looks great! I've got a Jaws, Indiana Jones, Lord of the Rings, and a vintage pachinko (the one you can see in the image above). The first three are in solid condition, but I'm going to restore the old one. Not sure if I'm going to mount them to the wall or set em up on some sort of stand in the room when its done.

If you were going for orange, you succeeded. Need a couch?

Hah! I went with orange because I wanted something that would stand out a bit to show off the arcade machines and posters in one room, and the classic consoles in the other. Since the house was built in 1954, and still has a lot of the original tile and accents, we're going with a mid-century scheme (not as much in the gaming area), so the whole house will be pretty colorful.

In the console room, I have a trio of floating shelves that consoles will sit on, ready to be pulled down and plugged in as needed. :]
