Quake 3 arena music problem
Hi I am new to Quake 3 but I know enough that I wanted the actual game and not quakelive. I have successfully installed quake 3 on my macbook 0sx 10.8 laptop using ioquake 3 and so far everything is working great but the cut scenes, they have no sound, during game play the sound effects are there and after a bit music starts, but the cut scenes seem to not work any ideas?

I'm not familiar with the port so I don't know any quirks there, but perhaps you are missing an audio codec needed for the sound to work there? Since you're on a Mac I have no idea where to tell you to look.

Re: Quake 3 arena music problem
Well the audio seems to work fine in game but I don't think it is a port as it uses the same files as a windows machine, I saw a linux forum where the guy had to mess with the pako.pak3 file for the sound to get it to work, which I'd be totally down to do but I don't know how, any suggestions?
