Seems like a no-brainer to me.
I for one think my Eddie Vedder impression rivals Adam Sandler's, but you can't please everyone all the time.

Speaking of hooks, smile moment for me. My 4 year old asks me if I will dress up as a pirate with him for Halloween. I say "of course, can Drew(his younger brother) dress up with us too?".
He responds, "sure, but I'm the captain" so I ask him, "so, do you want a hook?"
"no, you get the hook, I'm going to have a eye patch."
Me- "what does Drew get?".
He thinks for a minute "a peg leg!"

The hell is it with women being so defensive? Or is it just my wife?

Minutes ago (she just apologized):

Wife: Did you know the garbage disposal isn't working?

Me: 'presses reset button, and I hear a while sound'. This is fixable. Either it is the fly wheel or the thing is lodged with junk. Let me finish dinner.

Wife: 'fools around with the rest button, flips the power on and off and starts cleaning junk out of the disposal by putting her hand in it'.

Me: CHRIST! THE POWER IS ON, GET YOUR HAND OUT OF THERE!!!!

Wife: NO IT ISN'T!!! DON'T YELL AT ME LIKE THAT!!! ' sees power switch is on'. YOU STILL SHOULDN'T YELL AT ME!!!

As mentioned she apologized, but with the tag "your tone of voice just bothered me".

Um? Somehow I ended up on the shit end by saving her teeny precious fingers.

But I always look for the good in every situation. This my friends, is an ace in my back pocket. "Remember when I tried to save your hand from the disposal and you actually yelled at me for it?". That can be brought up on any missed "special" occasion or at least her being DD for several weekends.

I might be alone, but when I see a loved one unclogging a garbage disposal, elbow deep, with the power on, I kinda scream STOP!

Yeah, just tell her you kept her from having a hand like yours. Then put the moves on her.

Oh you.

I feel like Steve Martin in ROXANNE. Throw all the jokes you want at me, but seriously, try to make them at least somewhat funny. So far all the hand jokes are about as funny and original as elmagicochris's image thread entries.

I mean there are masturbation jokes, gesticulation jokes (not the same thing people with limited vocabularies), short coming jokes, observational jokes, etc....

You guys can do better than this.

Good luck with that.

Luke- "Remember when I tried to save your hand from the disposal and you actually yelled at me for it?"

Leia- "You mean that time you yelled at me!?"

You are better off to just forget the incident ever happened.

In fact just to be safe, tonight while she's sleeping you should remove the garbage disposal unit from under your sink, so hopefully nothing will remind her of what happened.

Either that or watch Fargo... and say absolutely nothing about the incident ever again.
