SpaceBooger: The RacketBoy Saga

Post by SpaceBooger »

What started as a one strip visual joke became a whole saga, with this site and it's members being the main motivation. So, Racket I dedicate these six weeks (strips) of my webcomic to you:

Image

I do apologize for the inconstant size in the text from the first couple strips to the last ones. This was caused by my changing the format of my strip from 700 to 900 pixels wide.

I update my webcomic every Wednesday, and yesterday's is a continuation, or spinoff, of the above strips.
Check out the comic every week (link in my signature.)

haha.

Didn't I sell you a light gun....

If I knew it had Tron-like abilities I may have upped the price quite a bit.

:D Wow I'm honored that the site means that much to you!
While I do check in on your comics from time to time, is there more of a backstory to this -- not sure if I missed something.

Keep up the good work!

I don't really get it. How is this related to Racketboy, exactly?

Simple. We're a cult bent on driving all of us to kill ourselves over gaming.

Kinda like Dungeons and Dragons in the 80s, only with our Ataris and not our pencils and papers.

I guess the Zapper stuff is supposed to be the magic link that connects it to us, prior to that it sounded more like a rip on Scientology or something.

It relates to RacketBoy because my wife says since I check the forums multiple times a day and play games dictated by this site (together retro) along with the trading she jokes that it's like a cult... it makes sense to me.

I guess the idea for that series started as an inside joke... but relevant... the amount of time I spend doing things related to what we talk about on this site could be joked as "cult-like"
Since the Missing Piece is always trying to fit in, he has found an online community who he feels comfortable talking too.

As for background info... well... there are four characters:

The Booger: Yeah... not much to say about him.

Image

The Missing Piece: He is the missing piece of Pac-Man and is constantly sad because he feels left out (pun intended)

Image

BarryFly: I call him a butterfly on steroids named after Barry Bonds

Image

And the Kid: He purchased the ship on ebay that this comic takes place on.
