But yeah I'm definitely not gonna run out and get one on day one.

Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
I was just cruisin around Gamestop's WiiU page and it's certainly interesting to say the least. Most games are 60 dollars but some are less. And a lot are coming out on New Year's Eve which seems kinda weird to me. And what is Tank! Tank! Tank! ? It looks like it'd actually be pretty fun with some friends.

This just means there is not a definitive release date yet.pumpkinpie65 wrote:I was just cruisin around Gamestop's WiiU page and it's certainly interesting to say the least. For reference, NBA Live 13 (which isn't even being released in a physical form) has a street date of 12/31/12. Just a placeholder.

I think I'm on the fence here. There looks like there might be a lot of franchises I'll continue playing. Be it Zelda, Metroid, Smash Brothers, Animal Crossing or something more innovative in the Mario area.
However, I felt like Skyward Sword was somewhat underwhelming compared to past titles, and I hope that there's some improvements for the next installment of the series. The lack of an overworld wasn't cool, and it felt way too linear.
I do like how much went on the virtual console but I never really got around to playing or buying those games. The price is reasonable, but I'm just not ready to drop the cash right now.

I went to Gamestop as soon as I got out of class and preordered the 32 GB model and Arkham City, New Super Mario Bros U, and ZombiU. I'm SO excited.

^ $25 down for Powerup Rewards members (vs $50) is a pretty decent perk considering the price.
I'm waiting to see if Amazon does any deals. Now that they charge state tax, they aren't as enticing with those bigger purchases.

If it's any consolation, SS was directed by the guy behind Minish Cap and the Oracle games, while from what I understand the next one is going to be directed by Aonuma again.Blu wrote: However, I felt like Skyward Sword was somewhat underwhelming compared to past titles, and I hope that there's some improvements for the next installment of the series. I really hope Amazon puts up preorders soon. No tax and free shipping would be fantastic. I did preorder the deluxe edition at Gamestop today just in case Amazon doesn't sell it.

I think I'll wait and see what happens. If Wii U has the fans that the Wii had, man those first months were a struggle to find one.

Hmmm maybe that's why I stopped playing Minish Cap too?AppleQueso wrote:If it's any consolation, SS was directed by the guy behind Minish Cap and the Oracle games, while from what I understand the next one is going to be directed by Aonuma again.Blu wrote: However, I felt like Skyward Sword was somewhat underwhelming compared to past titles, and I hope that there's some improvements for the next installment of the series. I liked Twilight Princess better than SS so I dunno...
