Dreamcast wont read audio cd

I don't have any DC games right now t test that but I threw in an audio cd and I heard weird sounds coming from the DC and no disc spin and no play. The laser moves and I tried to adjust the pot but was unsuccessful in making it work. Should I just buy another DC? It sucks cuz now I'm out $25

hi Onyx , it seems you Drive Motor is dead or the Spindle has been pushed down on its thread it wont spin anymore.

You can use a pair of Pliers to raise the Spindle if it is too low..........

before raising the Spindle do a simple test first , with the Top Shell on turn the Spindle with your finger if it turns easily without restrictions its fine and doesnt need to be raised it is most likely a dead Drive Motor or possibly something else.

Well the spindle spins so I guess it's dead A member here contacted me about another DC he has for sale so I'll prolly do that. Thanks for the help.
