First Dreamcast game I ever played was Worms: Armageddon. I had no idea how the game worked and got slaughtered, but it was my introduction in to the system's sense of humor and it definitely made a good impression. So what if it's on every other platform? It's totally a Dreamcast game.

Definitely.
This was the only Worms game I've ever played, but it's also the only one that's ever mattered to me.
In retrospect it seems silly, but Worms: Armageddon was so awesome to me when I first played it.

Pierrot: Does the game still have some fun moments? Curious if it's a game I could pick up and play with my friends nowadays. Does it have any lasting appeal?

Oh, yeah. Definitely.
The crowning jewel of its game play is in the mutli-player. Single player experience is still all right, but you'll get a lot of those mario kart blue-shell/power stone super mode moments, albeit at a far slower pace.

There's also a sequel on the Dreamcast, but admittedly, I've never played it. I don't think the Worms games have ever really broken from tradition, though. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong.)

By a sequel, you mean Worms World Party? As far as I heard, it was pretty much just Armageddon, but with online multiplayer support.

I did mean Worms World Party, thank you.

Isn't every Worms game essentially Worms Armageddon with or without some weapons and a mode or two?

Man I love going on here and just reading on how happy people love dreamcast. I'm such a proud owner on dreamcast. I love my ps1 also but dreamcast to me is the best. Alot of people at my work thinks the dreamcast sucks. Too bad they never had a chance to play it.
