Commence to prostration?
There is no commencing about it. When I read about those two items, my head - literally - exploded, and my limp, lifeless body fell to the floor like a like a used copy of Bill Laimbeer's Combat Basketball.

I like how Flake told people to derail the thread.

Speaking of derailing, you've been warned before for the same thing. Knock it off in this thread.

That is partially my fault for joking about Ballz3D.

Back on topic - and speaking of terrible games that are actually rare - I was shocked to discover the Bebe's Kids is the rarest game in my SNES collection. According to Digital Press, Bebe's Kids for the SNES has a rarity rating of 7, which makes it as rare as games like Hagane: The Final Conflict and Super Turrican 2.

I have a small collection of games that are generally considered to be among the worst ever made (i.e., Ballz 3D, E.T., Superman (N64), etc.), and it took me a very long time to track down Bebe's Kids. When I discovered the rarity rating, I knew why.

Bebe's kids - does this refer to the cart, or the box / manual as well. In my experience the cart doesn't appear anymore rare than 100+ other snes titles.

The box/manual is htf though, not 3 ninjas hard, but still hard.

Good question...NintendoAge has it listed as a "5" across the board, which makes it rarer than Earthbound and Mega Man 7, but not in the rarified air of Firestriker, Metal Marines, and Super Buster Brothers (i.e., the rarest games in my SNES collection by NA's standards). Digital Press has it listed as a "7" - which means it is quite rare - but I do not know whether Digital Press's ranking relates to the cart or the cart with its box and manual.

EDIT: My experience tracking this game down in the wild, however, was very different from yours. I scoured the state of North Carolina looking for this game, and the copy in my collection is the only copy that I have ever located. There are also only 10 copies listed on eBay right now, which is consistent with the number listed for some of the rare-but-not-in-high-demand SNES games. (There is only one copy of FireStriker on there right now, making that the single rarest standard SNES game by my "search eBay" method of determining rarity.)

Huh, I have Fire Striker and Super Buster Brothers as well. I didn't have too much trouble getting them at prices I was willing to pay on ebay, so I had never considered to check any rarity guides. I certainly wouldn't have guessed that they're both rarer than the Pocky and Rocky SNES games which were more of a pain to get. I know price doesn't equal rarity, but still.

Maybe I'll have to spend a few evenings checking all of my games for giggles.

You should definitely do that. There are quite a few surprises, especially with SNES games.
