No, it's pretty awful: High class beautiful working girl who for some reason can't find a man, meets with rugged handsome man on tough times. It's the classic, "you know how much they'll love each other at the end by how much they hate each other when they first meet". Not to say that formula hasn't worked and will continue to work.

The Clarissa joke made me laugh, but that in mind here is a character with only a few lines introduced for a joke that not everyone will get.

But, the boy and girl turn cute movies aren't going to die anytime soon. Fortunately Hollywood is starting to learn that Andy Samberg isn't good for movies, and that he is certainly not a male lead women want to see.

Nothing against the guy, he just can't act and women don't find him anywhere close to being a heart-throb. And yes, Hollywood thinks Samberg is the new heart-throb. I blame Seth Rogen (but I don't, he's great).
Okay so it's not a Clarissa Explains it All movie.

I'm relieved... I think.

Clearly, you have not seen "Hot Rod"...

That movie is awesome. It is on Netflix streaming right now, and if you enjoy it as much as I did, I recommend picking up the DVD. There are enough laughs in the deleted scenes for an entire other movie.

Geez I think it says a lot about Hollywood now that not only would the premise of a Clarissa Explains it All movie reboot not surprise me, I honestly kinda expect it to eventually happen.

No that was funny. But Andy is following Adam Sandler in the "I want to do serious stuff and be the cute quirky boyfriend" route.

I gotcha...Adam Sandler is good in Spanglish and Punch Drunk Love (and Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore). Andy Samberg is good is Hot Rod and...Lonely Island music videos(?). My preference would be for him to stop trying to be a leading man in romantic comedies and focus his efforts on more profitable (from my perspective, certainly not the studio's) ventures....such as a proper Hot Rod sequel.

I'll toss in one more seizure story. A year and a half ago I was visiting my family and all us siblings were hanging out in my brother's room. He was on his computer, I was watching him, and my sister was on her DS on his bed. We suddenly heard this thump and turned around to see my sister face down on the floor. At first we were like "Hey, you being silly?" but after a few seconds we saw she was twiching and got her turned on her side so she wouldn't choke on anything. She came out of it in a couple minutes and we got 9-1-1 involved so she could get to the hospital. She's had two seizures since then. The first was when she was in the last couple weeks of being on 6 months worth of meds and she stopped taking them. The second was when her work was scheduling her for late night and early morning shift against physician's orders (she needs enough sleep). Each time she can't drive for 6 months, and this time it's forcing her to find a new apartment in the city (her sublet is up) as opposed to the suburbs.

Adam Sandler started by climbing the ladder, staying on the ladder, trying to get to the top of the ladder and ended up falling off the ladder.

Andy was luckier. He started on the middle of the ladder, and that is where he needs to stay if he doesn't want to fall off.

If he doesn't get away from rom-coms, he's committing career suicide.

I briefly dated a girl who would have seizures from time to time, though the odd thing was she could feel when they were coming on. So one night after we had sex, she gets up for a bit, then stumbles back to the bed and says, "This is what is about to happen." She explained very briefly what would happen and what I should do. Then she had a seizure. So I watched, made sure she didn't hurt herself, checked her breathing, monitored her pulse, and let her rest a little afterward. We talked about it a bit afterward, and she explained that she's been having them occasionally for years, but the doctors she has seen keep telling her that it isn't epilepsy and can't identify the problem.

Another friend of mine happens to be severely epileptic, so she has to keep to a specific sleep schedule and take heavy dosages of medication. It's done a lot of damage to her, both physically and psychologically, and she has absolutely no warning for when they occur. The last one happened earlier this year, when she collapsed and had a seizure on the way to CVS to get her medication.

That totally could have been the opening to an episode of House.
