I've never really gotten into any of the Gundam shows, even when they were on Cartoon Network, but all this Gundam talk is making me want to give it another shot.

^Bandai Entertainment is transitioning out of the anime market in the US so if you ever want to own Gundam DVDs, you should act quickly!

Yeah. I was just thinking about that. I suppose it's too much to hope that someone else will pick them up.

I'm currently torn between Mobile Suit Gundam or Gundam Wing.........Damn, and I'm going on vacation soon, too......

One is legendary for spawning one of Japan's biggest meta-series ever and this. The other is hailed as one of the worst entries in the franchise and the beginning of Gundam Yaoi. The choice is yours!

 This is your subtle way of telling me to go with the first one, isn't it.

Okay, okay. Mobile Suit Gundam it is. I'll save my Wing money and use it towards Ghost in the Shell: 2nd Gig instead. I know I enjoy that.

Thanks for all the help guys, looks good.

So Gundam, Cowboy Bebop, and uhhh... don't know what else. I've watched one or two studio Ghibli (spelling?) movies, and they didn't do much for me. Boring really. Overall, I just haven't found the right stuff yet. My main thing is avoiding stuff based on relationships/almost porn. If I want Hentai, I'll look it up on the 'puter.

Have you looked into Rurouni Kenshin? I know you mentioned samurai stuff earlier and when it comes to samurai anime you really can't do much better than Kenshin.

I have not. I don't really have a good source of info for any kind of anime and such. Nobody at school watches anything other than Naruto and Bleach, so I'm kinda rolling on my own. I'll check it out when I can. My parents on big on "the Jap cartoons", so I don't have all that much time to watch them.

I would also highly recommend Claymore if you're looking for a medieval setting with action and sword fighting. It's a really good all around show, and easily meets the criteria you're looking for (well animated, modest, etc).

Kenshin's Trust And Betrayal OVA is one of the best movies I've ever seen. Fantastic dub too, and there's a widescreen version somewhere out there. And a blu-ray, but that's a lot of cash.
