Recently got Prey and Sin Episodes for £1 each in Zavvi here in the UK. Both registered with my Steam account straight away. Prey, if bought on Steam, was meant to cost $24.99 so I feel like I got a deal. Sin Episodes, includng the original Sin and Sin multplayer, should have cost $15 so again a bit of a deal. I know it's not really retro but that is the best deal I have had recently. OH and getting Day of Defeat for £1.50 and finding that Half Life, Opposing Forces, Blue Shift, Ricochet AND Counter Strike were included when I registered on Steam... God I love cheating Steam into bargins, even if it isn't really cheating

... and here I am spending average prices for games like a shmup (the bad kind). Ah well, they're all worth it.
On a side note, I would have gladly paid more for The Ninja if it went for a higher price - as far as I recall, I think it was the first game I played. It's not technically impressive, and doesn't really do anything to stand out, but it has to be the most replayable of Master System games, in my opinion. Gameplay is solid.
Why does The Ninja not get any love these days?
Okie dokie, how about sharing all your bargains some more? Doesn't necessarily have to be the cheapest, or even cheap, just stone cold bargains.

My cheapest find was a lot at Goodwill, I found a SNES system, The Super Gameboy with box, Donkey Kong Country 3 complete, Mario Allstars, Mario World, Star Fox, NBA Jam TE complete, and MARIO RPG COMPLETE for 10 dollars! I guess you could divide the total number of games won by 10 to see how much i paid for each or you could just say I paid 10 bucks for Mario RPG, great deal either way!

I once scored a few N64 games for a buck each w/ manual in plastic clamcase: Banjo Kazooie, Star Wars Rogue Squadron, Blast Corps (traded it in at PNT), and South Park.
Another time, I scored a shoebox full of N64 games (about 14 or so, some got traded in at PNT), along with three controllers (2 Official, but they were corroded AND there was a little bug thing in one of them; the third one was a third-party controller with a minor aesthetic flaw) and a Gameshark from one of my dad's friends: only about $15 at least.
A few NES games at a thrift store for a buck apiece, including Dr. Mario and Dragon Warrior.
My dream is to find a really rare and expensive game (i.e. PD Saga for the Saturn) for dirt cheap at a yard sale. I know it's a long shot, but a lot of yard sales I've went to were run by people who weren't exactly hard-core games.
