Give us some time, and the € will again be equal to the $.

Cause only then the prices wouldn't be off. Cause for gaming company regardless if 1€ = 1.5$ or 1€ = 1.2$, it always is 1€ = 1$

Sounds like you're sold then, there is no way it will cost $599.

I think Nintendo learned their lesson from the 3DS. Unlike a certain other company which continues to make the same mistakes over and over.

Two more days... (It's on the 13th, right? What time?)
 (FC, AVFC, NES, SFC x2, SNES, N64, GC x2, Wii x2)*(G&W x7, GB, GBpocket, GBASP, DS-L x2)
(GEN, SS x3, DC x3)*(PCE-Duo)*(Xbox:500GB)*(NGCDZ, NGPC)*(PS1, PStwo, PS3:160GB, PSP.3K)

Sega?

I am afraid though this will be more expensive than it should. If it sells for 200-250€ it will be a success. Anymore than that and it will fail to build up enough momentum to have a fighting chance against the next consoles.

It'll have to be at least 300 USD. Much less and it will be cheaper than the Wii was at US launch, adjusted for inflation. If it's more than 350 USD I'll be stunned.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the Japanese prices. The only thing I'm now slightly bummed about is the lack of color choice if you want either the basic or premium pack...
I still can't believe they're selling the GamePad (for about 1/2 the price of the console) with no games that make no use of a second pad at launch. I wonder if retailers will even stock this...

I was actually hoping for less. Let's wait and see how the Yen prices translate to $ and €.

I think some people may just buy them as backups in case their's breaks. Also it would be cool if a good game that uses 2 controllers comes out and they bundle it with a controller like with Wii Play (said minigame collection ofc sucked).
