correct. If anything what this community offers over most VG forums is a sense of community. The bulk of us care about the well-being of the rest of us. And we tend to try to help each other acclimate as such.

I just think that he needs to take extra time paying attention to details when he does transactions and provide a tracking number if it was asked for (preferably anyway, but definitely if asked for).

-I also don't think that anyone is being attacked here. I think that Dedalus is just trying to protect himself by making things a bit public in order to solve things before anything becomes formal. DC4Ever, hopefully after you think this over in a few days, you will continue to sell on here with the above points in mind.
As I said before, Breetai, I'd like to give Dreamcast4Ever the benefit of the doubt, which should be the unspoken rule for a relatively small community like ours. However, it bears repeating that at this point Dreamcast4Ever has made it extremely difficult for me to extend that courtesy to him.

My repeated requests for a tracking number have all been met with essentially non-responsive statements (to wit -- "you haven't gotten your package yet?"; "I'll go to the post office and get it tracked"; "my wife takes care of shipping"; "have you seen my ebay feedback?"; "the package got returned"). I'm simply asking for a 20-digit sequence that provides shipping status when entered into USPS' tracking page, and he hasn't been able to provide that. I understand that there may be a communication gap with Dreamcast4ever, but I honestly don't know how much clearer I can make myself at this point.

As for my intentions with regard to posting this, I'm not doing it to "protect" myself -- I sent payment as PayPal goods, and would be covered under that. I'm doing it because we have an obligation to protect the integrity of the marketplace. The feedback forum is the base obligation, but certain cases demand a more proactive stance. I hope you can appreciate that perspective.

I've repeated this point ad nauseam already, but I'll repeat it again: if Dreamcast4Ever can provide a tracking number that corroborates his story that a package was mailed to my zip code and sent back to him, I will retract every statement and publicly apologize. He can post the tracking information on this thread to publicly clear his name.

-Dreamcast4Ever, your spelling and grammar often have issues. You did say that the price of the AES would go up after you posted pics. Taken literally by someone who doesn't realize that your grammar is not your strong point (which was bound to happen!!!), I'm not surprised that there was a misunderstanding from your original intent. I don't think you meant that posting photos would cause the price to go up, but you did say that (even if you did not mean it). Lesson here is to be VERY careful about what you post, especially if related to a possible transaction. Again, I really do believe you did not mean anything bad. I just think that you didn't convey that well in writing.

-Dedalusdedalus, this is just my gut feeling, but I don't think Dreamcast4Ever is out to screw anyone over. I just think that he needs to take extra time paying attention to details when he does transactions and provide a tracking number if it was asked for (preferably anyway, but definitely if asked for). I get the feeling that he's a decent guy overall.

-Dreamcast4ever, I guess now you realize that providing tracking numbers straight away can help to avoid possible conflict. Double check addresses before you send as well, as this may have been a factor in this case.

-I also don't think that anyone is being attacked here. I think that Dedalus is just trying to protect himself by making things a bit public in order to solve things before anything becomes formal. DC4Ever, hopefully after you think this over in a few days and have some time to chill, you will continue to sell on here with the above points in mind.

Thank you for your kind words you seem to have alot of wisdom and actually put me at ease which most people don't do well unless i Personally know them. I agree with what you said and i should be more careful with how and what i post as well providing certain details and in the future i will do so after all is sorted out. I guess it's a learning curve.

I really do need to pay more attention to details to prevent confusion in the future and as i have said before I have grown to really enjoy everyone here even those that I started out not liking cause I thought i was being picked on...which i was but alot of the time for good reason lol. everyone here is very cool. I just want to clarify that I have no bad intentions once so ever.

Provide a tracking number. He wanted what you were selling; not wasted time and a refund. As the buyer, should you not respect his wishes to purchase something from you that you were offering? I would say that the best way to retain the most integrity possible would be to provide that tracking number and resend the package; triple checking that the address given to you is the one you put on the package/postal slip (I believe you said it was returned to you?).

As for you being in the clouds and being misunderstood, I won't comment further on that other than what I said in my last post. If you want to chat about this with me via PM, I welcome you to PM me and start that conversation privately.

It bears repeating: provide a tracking number that corroborates your story that the package was mailed out, but returned.

If you could provide that one piece of information, I would gladly admit that I overreacted.
I will do so then.
Where are we with this. This could not be more clear. You stated it would happen, it has been another 48 hours since you stated you would provide a tracking number. It has not happened.

Please explain. You are dealing with a community here and you need to explain yourself if you wish to continue to deal in the marketplace. We are also aware of other transactions you are currently involved in, thus yes, this is absolutely a community matter and you are not helping your cause by offering to put our minds at ease, but failing to do the one thing that can do that. Provide the tracking number Travis, or at a minimum, provide a refund. This is done with one click on your keyboard.

Get over your drama, you've been promising refunds for 3 days.

One click. Issue the refund. Cut the shit.
