Night of the Comet
No other period could have produced an end-of-the-world flick with that touch of ingenuous flair exclusive to the eighties. Bonus points for sporting young Chakotay in a cowboy hat
Similar recommendations anyone? Yes I've already seen Night of the Creeps

The Gold Rush
Saw it at a noon screening. Funny Stuff.
Also, I manage to pick up the Criterion copy of Robocop for super cheap.

We watched this for a bad movie night as well, though I do remember renting it as a kid and watching it.Pulsar_t wrote:

The part that kinda stuck out at bad movie night was a scene where the little cheerleader girl is sitting with her knees up against her chest yet somehow her legs are slightly open. She's wearing bloomers, but the camera pans UP from her feet or the bottom of the couch. As the camera is panning up, it literally STOPS at her crotch for like 2 seconds, then proceeds on it's way up to her face.
It was hilarious. Camera 1, put your pants back on please...

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?

So I remember when i was about 14 going to the video store some small independent one and finding this movie. Since im a huge fan of horror good and bad or b rate I was quick to pick this up. I did not expect alot from it but boy was I surprised!
This movie was fantastic for a low budget flick even with financial limitations. The story was about 2 guys driveing acorss country to somewhere i forget and stoping in this town. All the towns people keep warning them to leave by midnight and while one friend is getting seriously freaked out the other is intrigued and wants to stay not really taking the warnigns seriously.
This of leads to hell quite literally cause once a year The town closes off where no one can leave for 24 hours and the gates of hell open's and lucifer and his demons walk the town.
I remember loving this movie and thinking how great of a premise it was. NOw it was low budget and could have done better with higher backing but the effects were really good still. I have been trying to locate this movie ever since and can't find it
It was never released on dvd and the vhs that i find on ebay sometimes is like 60.00 bucks. But for anyone who is a horror fan or a b-rate movie fan should find a way to see it.
IT;s not a master piece by any means but for a random low budget movie it truly shines!
